OUR EXPERIENCE: SIRIM, SHAH ALAM - OPEN AREA TEST SITE (OATS), Complete with Semi Anechoic, Fully Anechoic and RF Shielded Room for all EMC Tests. Open Area Test Site (OATS) is basic model for Full Radiated Compliance Emission testing (as discus in Section 16 of CISPR 16-1). Our standard OATS constructed in environment of free from reflecting object using an optimal Metallic Ground Plane and Glass Reinforce Plastic Structure (GRP). It will shows a deviation in both horizontal and vertical polarization of less than 4 dB from the ideal. Before construct an adequate test site in above sense requires considerable investment. First, the site itself; this should be level and free of obstruction, but close to suitable building (or control room) for test and ancillary equipment. We will offer or advise on construction of ground plane. The ground plane must extend at least 1m beyond the periphery of the EUT and the largest measuring antenna and which covers the area between the two. The EUT-antenna separation will normally be 10 (although we also offer 3 m distance). Further, for full compliance purposes will also offer turntable to accommodate expected EUTs, and an antenna mast to allow a receiving antenna height scan from 1 to 4m are necessary. For the fastest measuring time these would be automated under computer control. Finally, to setup open area test facility we have to face ambient signals and weather problems. The presence of ambient comprises the ability to carry out full-frequency test and, especially if the ambient are transient, can markedly increase the time spent per test. Weather is also a problem if the test site is to be available in all weather. ZIZI Phamix Sdn Bhd offers Glass Reinforced Plastic Structure (GRP) to house and cover the test site. Other suitable weatherproof shed or tent should be acceptable. Moisture absorption must be kept a minimum, and water should not be allowed to build up on any surfaces. We offer complete requirement for any Radiation
Emission Testing, which will include:
Glass Reinforced Plastics (GRP)
